MY REVIEWS

OVERALL VERDICT >>>>> JUST OKAY

RATING >>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3

My skin type:

Dry/Combination Oily (T-zone), Uneven skin tone with lots of freckles on cheeks. Also, sensitive around the cheek area.

Just a note:

I generally do not wear make up except for sunscreen. On a daily basis, it's only my skin care and sunscreen, that's all.

How long have I used this:

Since a year ago when it launched.

Will I repurchase:

No. For it's price, this really did nothing for me. Neither did my freckles lighten, nor did my face becomes noticeably brighter or radiant. I even finished a whole bottle of 30ml at that.

I'm very particular about serums because they are EXPENSIVE! Good ones at least. So if I'm paying bucks, I wanna see equivalent results. Capeesh.

Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to love this serum I just don't. Scent and texture aside, it didn't deliver results in my case. Sob T.T

But anyway, I don't hate this serum, it's just not delivering the results that I want. Might be different for others so let's take a look at the positive side of this serum.

Having used quite a few serums with different consistencies and textures before, I'd say that this serum has a very lightweight consistency and a silky texture. The silky texture allows for a very smooth application while the lightweight consistency enables the product to absorb into the skin fast.

I can feel that it was quite potent (why didn't it work well for me though?? >.<) but it didn't sting my face like some serums do, *cough cough* AHA Retinol incorporated serums...just saying. Some strong type serums make my face red too. My skin IS a bit sensitive though.

Scent is the same as the emulsion and lotion so I got bored of it after a while. But it's not unpleasant, like I mentioned in the previous post, it's just boring smelling.

This serum was pretty expensive for me but I didn't regret using it. It didn't deliver results but it didn't cause any bad effect on my skin either so I'm glad I at least tried it.

PROS

  • Very light texture.

  • Although potent, doesn't sting my face like some serums do.

  • Absorbs quickly, less waiting time before applying next product.

  • Nice thin consistency.

  • Has a nice subtle floral smell.

  • I've experienced redness using some highly potent serums but this was okay.

  • Well known, considerably easy-to-find brand.

CONS

  • As mentioned, this really didn't do much for me.

  • Super expensive for a serum. Can get way cheaper from other brands.

  • This serum's fragrant so it might cause skin irritation to some people.
