BASED ON SHU UEMURA'S WEBSITE:
Suitable for:
Dry to Very dry skin.
Claim:
With age and external stress, cell’s “self-cleaner” loses its proper functions. accumulated cell impurities slow down skin metabolism deteriorating skin quality. The new CP complex (yeast extract + rhamnose) supports discharging the accumulated impurities.
MY REVIEWS
OVERALL VERDICT >>>>> LIKE
RATING >>>>>>>>>>>>>> 4/5
My skin type:
Dry/Combination Oily (T-zone), Uneven skin tone with lots of freckles on cheeks. Also, sensitive around the cheek area.
Just a note:
I generally do not wear make up except for sunscreen. On a daily basis, it's only my skin care and sunscreen, that's all.
How long have I used this:
Since a year ago when it launched. This is my second bottle.
Will I repurchase:
Yes. I will purchase this again.
I really like this lotion. It is by far the thickest lotion I've ever used and it moisturized my skin immediately helping it prepare for the other products that come after.
The scent can be quite overwhelming at first but subsides into a very subtle scent a few moments after application.
This floral smelling lotion absorbs very quickly and works well at drawing out impurities buried deep inside of my pores without leaving skin dry afterwards. In fact skin feels hydrated and soft to touch.
Overall, a really good lotion. I enjoyed using it and wouldn't mind purchasing it again when I feel for a change. Perfect for cold and dry weather like winter.
PROS
Good at drawing out the last vestiges of impurities left after cleansing as claimed.
Very hydrating. Easily restores moisture after cleansing.
Absorbs quickly, less waiting time before applying next product.
Nice thick consistency.
Has a nice floral smell that may strike off as a bit strong when first applied but becomes subtle very quickly.
Face feels soft and smooth to touch.
Well known, considerably easy-to-find brand.
CONS
Expensive for a toner.
Actually performs best with Shu Uemura's silk crystallizer cotton compact to normal cotton pads.
Smell can be a bit too strong for some.
