My skin type:
Dry/Combination Oily (T-zone), Uneven skin tone with lots of freckles on cheeks. Also, sensitive around the cheek area.
Just a note:
I generally do not wear make up except for sunscreen. On a daily basis, it's only my skin care and sunscreen, that's all.
How long have I used this:
Since a year ago when it launched.
Will I repurchase:
No. Although I like a few things about it, I've had better ones.
Not the best. Just normal.
Has a nice smell but the kind of scent that you easily get bored of to be honest. Nevertheless the smell is not bad at all, that's for sure. The floral scent comes off as strong at the beginning but doesn't linger around too long after application.
If you know me at all, you'll know that I love lightweight stuff and this emulsion definitely fits the bill. It, in a way, is better than CLARINS' Whitening Day Emulsion. Having a nice, not-too-thick-not-too-runny consistency, it absorbs almost immediately into the skin leaving a soft and supple finish without feeling sticky.
After finishing a bottle, I didn't notice much changes to my skin. Okay, maybe my skin looks slightly dewy but that's it. Dewiness of my skin could come from proper hydration and that's exactly what this was to me. A nice bottle of moisturizer, that I can find anywhere. Anti-aging results? Urm, none in my case.
I'm not going be harsh about Shu's "Skin Care" products because that's the thing. Shu's a make up expert, not skin care. So, it was a good try but not worth the penny. Sorry Shu, I'm not with you on this one.
PROS
Lightweight yet very hydrating.
Absorbs quickly, less waiting time before applying next product.
Nice not-too-thick consistency.
Has a nice floral smell that is more mild and subtle than the lotion.
Face feels soft and smooth to touch.
Well known, considerably easy-to-find brand.
CONS
I didn't notice much changes, just a slightly more dewy complexion, that's all.
Feels like every other over-the-counter moisturiser to me.
Expensive considering no results.
Some might experience irritation due to it being fragrant.
