EMOTIONAL HEALTH 101: My CLARINS Haul!

Today is the happiest day of my life! So far...

I went for a complimentary facial at CLARINS SPA and got myself some new products from CLARINS.

As far as products go, CLARINS is the only brand in which I've tried around 90% of it's products, ranging from skin care to body care to make up. Well, only products that apply to me that is. You can't expect me to buy a stretch mark lotion when I've never even gave birth. Even if I might look like I have :(

Nevertheless, I am totally IN LOVE with CLARINS' products. Everything just works. Of course some work better than others but I have yet to experience a "bad" product. By "bad" I mean products that leave me with a bad reaction like acne or any other symptoms. So far all of the products I've tried I've rated not less than 3 stars out of 5, mostly 5.

I can go on and on about how awesome CLARINS's products are but let's take a look at my haul this time around.

Hurrah! I can't wait to use them all. Let's take a look at each product further shall we.

CLARINS Multi-Active Treatment Essence

According to my awesome beauty consultant at CLARINS KLCC SPA (been serviced by her since 2014), this treatment essence would be a great addition to my 5-step day skincare regimen. What it does is it helps the products that I will use after this essence to be absorbed better into my skin. Ohh, yes! I want! So I grabbed myself a bottle @ RM200. Although I hate having to spend extra time applying products in the morning, I don't mind this because after trying this at the SPA during my complimentary facial, it absorbed really fast.

Instruction of use: Apply after toner before serum.

I really look forward to seeing results after finishing this bottle.

CLARINS Booster - Energy

Ahaa!

Anything that says "BOOST" always manages to get my attention. Out of all of the products I bought today, I am probably most interested in this one because like make up, it's supposed to help boost the radiance and glow of your skin by just a few drops mixed with moisturizer. The best part about this product is that it's not make up so you can sleep with it without worry. AWE-SOME!

In my previous reviews, I noted very clearly that I am not a make up person. I use make up occasionally to enhance, yes, but I'm not one of those make up experimenters who would go nuts at seeing limited edition eye shadow palettes or who would buy 10 lip products from different make up brands all at once just to try. Not that there's anything wrong with that though. Their money their choice. I'm the same in a way, it's just that I prefer skincare.

Instruction of use: Mix 3-4 drops with moisturizer or mask as and when needed.

I really can't wait to try it on tonight to see how I'll look like in the morning.

CLARINS Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch

When my beauty consultant approached me with this product, I wasn't bought simply because it's make up. But being a genius but careful at marketing, she demonstrated the product to me by showing me how this product can help reduce if not diminish the look of my tired eyes immediately. My reluctance changed into curiosity and I gave her the green light to apply the product under my eyes while I was looking.

WOW! Just WOW! What happened?? This product hides the lines and creases in a flash and it only takes a little. I know this since I saw how little product she applied on me and just like that I was bought (or had :] but owh well).

According to her, this is not a product to be applied to the whole face but only on areas in which early wrinkles, lines and creases are present. In my case that'd be under my eyes, under my nose and along my laugh lines.

Instruction of use: Use alone or before primer/foundation on areas of concern.

I shall use this during the day before leaving for work!

CLARINS Extra-Firming Mask

Ahh masks!

That's the feeling I get every time I think about masks. To me, masks represent relaxation time, a short period of time in which I reward myself by escaping to a world of peace and tranquility.

I've tried the Hydraquench mask and Shaping facial lift wrap and love them both. So I'm ready to fall in love with this one as well. Besides I will never say no to "Extra Firming", NEVER! Once you're over 25, your skin priorities take a 180-degree turn and if you are an anti-aging freak like me, you might also be under a serious early aging prevention mission. I sound dramatic but seriously, you can really feel the difference.

When you are younger, your skin reacts well to almost every product you use without you trying so hard. I was on the cheapest pharmacy product I could find during my teen years yet my skin was still way better than my skin now. Damn, I can go a week without products and my skin can still look great back in those days. Now? Hah, if I don't cleanse well at night, I get break outs the next morning. Sigh, I hate to say it but that's the beauty of YOUTH!

Instruction of use: Apply anytime you feel like it! Hooray! Oh but to enhance the feeling of relaxation, it's best to apply using the pressure point method.

Well, I'm going to try this during my SPA day at home. Already looking forward to this week's SPA day.

CLARINS Lip Comfort Oil

YESSSS!

That's what I say to lip products.

I really love lip products simply because they give my usually dull face a little color. Not to mention I get to play with different colors according to my mood.

Out of all of the different types of lip products out there, lip oils are my favorite. I'll tell you why. While some complained that they hate the oily feeling of lip oils, I actually WANT that kind of feeling on my lips. You see, my lips are extremely dry. I can drink 5000 liters of water every day and my lips will still crack and dry up, it's just something I'm born with I'm afraid. I also have natural dark lips since I was very young. Like all oils do, the oil from lip oils provide my lips with instant relief. It moisturizes well without that never-go-away sticky or heavy feeling that most lip glosses have. I really don't like the stickiness of lip glosses. Ugh. Oily is fine but sticky, nu'uh. Lip oils are also usually quite pigmented that it helps seal color onto my lips. The perfect combo~!!

Instruction of use: Apply it on its own or layer it on top of other lip products to further enhance. Apply before sleep to keep lips soft and moisturized all through the night.

I bought all three colors and can't wait to experiment with them!

CLARINS Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base Rose

Last but not least, the primer.

If there's one make up product I like, it would be primer. Reason being is that a primer can be worn alone and is very lightweight. It helps refine pores, giving out an overall smooth look without the heavy feelings of foundation. Of course many would use foundation with primers, that's the whole point actually, but I don't find that necessary in my case. Rather than a complete coverage, what my skin truly needs is hydration. But I do enjoy primers and use them on days when I want to enhance the way my skin looks.

This primer is part make up part skin care with sheer coverage. I tried the rosy one at the SPA and fell instantly in love with the texture. Most primers I tried before, although not a lot, always dries up my skin after use but this one doesn't seem to do that. Too bad it doesn't have sun protection though. Would like a little more protection while I'm at it but I have my sunblock for that I guess so I'm not complaining.

Instruction of use: Apply after sunblock before foundation.

I have a strong feeling that I'm going to like this more than Beauty Flash Balm for some reason but we shall see!

Ahhhhh that felt good. It's always great when you look back at what you bought. But it's even better looking at all of the complimentary gifts that come with it. This is one of the perks of being a CLARINS club member. You get a lot of complimentary products with purchase over a certain amount. With today's purchase, I managed to attain these babies.

Extra-Firming Night Rejuvenating Cream All Skin Type 15ml

I am currently using White Plus Total Luminescent Brightening Hydrating Emulsion so it's nice to get extra. But what I'm really excited about is the Extra-Firming Night Rejuvenating Cream. I've always wanted to try this but my beauty consultant always stopped me by saying that it's for people aged 35 and above and I'm still too young for it. But I still wanna try it so she gave in and gave me a sample. YAY! Can't wait to try this once my current night cream finishes.

Double serum 7 sachets.

I won this over a lucky dip. I got to pick three times and won this along with 2 RM100 treatment vouchers (SCORE!) VERY HAPPY.

Body Lift Cellulite Control 30ml

Tonic Bath & Shower Concentrate 30ml

Okay, the Body Lift Cellulite Control is a great product but not a product that I would repurchase. It works great but I just don't think it's worth my RM200+. I'd rather tighten my skin through workout really. But I don't hate the product, just won't spend money on it. Same goes with the bath gel. Smells amazing. Very relaxing and all but again, not worth my money. I can get better smelling shower gels for WAY less.

Excited to get these for free nonetheless.

Shaping Facial Lift Total V Contouring Serum 10ml

Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil 2ml

I am currently using Shaping Facial Lift Total V Contouring Serum so it's great to get extra. As for Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil, I've used it before and like it a lot but face and body oils are something I'd rather whip myself using carrier oils and natural beauty oils (more on this later) rather than spending RM200 over for a small 30ml or 100ml bottle.

But then again, excited to get these free products nonetheless.

Extra-Firming Neck Cream 1 sachet

This smells divine! Out of all CLARINS' product range, I love the Firming range's scent the most! Followed by Hydraquench. I can smell the products all day and never get bored of them.

Honestly though I really don't think I will ever invest in a NECK cream I mean I wear hijab, nobody's going to see my neck. BUT! I see it and wrinkles bother me. Then again, I can always apply the products I already have now to my neck as well so there's no need to actually purchase an extra product. Which is why I don't think I will purchase this. I won't say ever but definitely not any time soon.

Worth trying though.

Last but not least, the Extra-Firming range's moisturizers! Like I mentioned before, I've always wanted to try them and now I get to. I hope I like this product because I plan to use CLARINS for a very long time and when I turn 35, I'd like to move to this product so please God, make me like these!!
