I'll be 29 in a few months.
Sigh...
I'm already imagining the appearance of lines and wrinkles on some areas of my skin especially around my eye area. The thought alone stresses me out. Yes, I am one of those anti-aging freaks who just wanna look AT LEAST 5 years younger than their true age. If I can be greedy, I'd like to look 25 when I'm 40. Too much to ask? Maybe. But if it's possible, I'm willing to put in full effort to achieve it.
Nah, I'm not trying to defy aging, I know I can't even if I want to. But I'd like to urm, postpone it? Hah!
With this in mind, I started my research. Based on my findings...
Apparently, one of the reasons why younger women can maintain skin elasticity and avoid lines and wrinkles from performing is through collagen production. As we turn 25, our bodies naturally stop producing collagen and the existing collagen will begin to break down. This leads to facial sagging and wrinkles and gives skin a rough appearance. A number of expensive and invasive procedures can rebuild or replace lost collagen and this is where collagen supplements play a big part!
In my "Holiday-Hauls" post, I mentioned that I've bought Kinohimitsu's Diamond Collagen Nite and it arrived today.

I've tried a few collagen drinks before, Meiji's Collagen being one of them, but there are too expensive to maintain. Even Kinohimitsu is normally too expensive for me but I got this super cheap due to the products' close expiration date. 20 bottles for RM31 is dirt cheap.
This collagen contains White Peach Juice, Fish (5,300 mg) Collagen, Apple Condensed Juice, Fructose, Citric Acid, Brown rice, Manuka Honey, Sakura Powder and Vitamin C. The instructions says that it should be consumed before bedtime.
Although I believe that you need to continue consuming collagen for months at least to be able to see results, I'm going to review this product after 20 bottles anyway to see if there's any changes at all to my skin.
Can't-wait-to-try!!
